a wee bit-o-sunshine goes a long long way!

Sunshine had a Valentine Cheer party at Party Central. It’s an indoor place where kids and adults (if you like) can bounce around in or slide down giant blown up plastic knee and elbow burners!

inflated slide

All these little girls running around fueled up on cupcakes and on sugar disguised as “100% juice”. There was great fun to be had!  I could not sit by and let these wee ones have all the fun, so I joined in! We chased each other over, under and around all 70ft of the inflated obstacle course. Bounced till there was no more bounce left (in me) and burned each knee & elbow on the super slides. In some cases (sunshine included) there was even a whole worn or torn in pants on one knee or the other. How do you tear a hole in a pair of pants you have worn twice??? Why simple! Play Hard!!!

Most parents sat and watched the action from the sidelines while the coaches, myself and a grandmother (yes, and over 55 by a mile!) played with the girls.

Midway through the party Sunshine managed to drag a few more bounces out of me. A game of bouncing-Tag pursued and I apparently was the monster that the girls were running from. Then they all turned on me taking me down down down! Once I was back up on my feet… here came sunshine opened armed and ready to tackle. I’m talking full body contact! I went down with her attached in bear hug mode she looked up at me with this smile and said…

Your The BEST Mom in the world.

That comment with her huge honest smile will carry me for a long time…making the burned elbows and knees all worth while.

There’s been no Sunshine blogging!

I know, I know, I know…the blogging has been neglected. I hope to be back on track and posting more often this year!

Here are a few updates:
Sunshine has another loose tooth…making this her second loose tooth.

Her Christmas was great. She is very happy with everything!

The eXtreme Cheer Squad took 2nd place at Cheer Zone Star Search Competition and first place at the last competition, one that I cant remember the name of held at Barton.

Sad news: eX-Cheer Squad lost one of their cheer sisters (Presley, shown below on the right) to a broken toe.

Sunshine is happy with the recent purchase of the family car a Grand Cherokee, I’m not too sold on it just yet. I miss my Xterra for many many reasons.

Hallowed gums in the witching hour!

tooth fairy

Credit to the artist, Sarah Mensinga, for a refreshing take on the tooth fairy image shown above. Keep reading for more on Sarah.

As I sit here criss-cross-applesauce on my workout ball, a feat I am proud to say I champion, I started out thinking I would write about Sunshine having a loose tooth. I then soon realized I needed an image of the tooth fairy to post along side my ramblings. I began my mission to google images. Which made me come across an amazing artist. I have tagged her blog for all to see. See my blog roll for “amazing artist” and click the link. I challenge you to not be fascinated, captivated, and (not or) inspired.

Back to Sunshine…Friday night she noticed she had a loose tooth. One minute Sunshine was excited and the next she was crying. There was concern that she “would loose her pretty smile”. [I know how horrible, eh?] I held her close, sitting on the corner of the bathtub, assuring her that there would be another tooth just as nice return to the hallowed gums.

Tomorrow will be day 5 of the loose tooth… suspicion tells me the tooth fairy will be making the journey to Watson Lane tomorrow in the witching hours.
